Palo Santo, Spanish for "Holy Wood", is found in the tropical forests of South America and is used for incense, aromatic oil and indigenous medicine. It is burned for its energetically cleansing and healing properties. Palo Santo trees are strictly regulated by the government in Peru. Sustainability is one of the main reasons we chose our current supplier. Suppliers that donÕt follow the environmental regulations have their the goods confiscated by the government. Not only does our supplier re-cultivate, but they also recover and reclaim de-forested sections of the rainforest in collaboration with the local communities. They strive for sustainability and encourage customers that want to check up on this to come and visit. To date, over 200 hectares of land has been cultivated, reclaimed or recovered to the rainforest by our supplier.
